2.2 – Provide donor appreciation and engagement

Long-term, consistent donors are the most powerful type of donor for an organization. Not only does this group continue to pledge support and donations for long periods of time, they also become personally committed to the organization, generating awareness to new donors.

We found that consistent engagement with donors is the key to converting many one-time donors into long-term, even lifelong partners. Developing relationships with your donors will also create advocates on the streets, promoting your organization by word of mouth and personal referral.
